The Debt Bomb

lmost 19 years ago, I remember reading the cover story of a rather apocalyptically titled issue of Time Magazine, in which the cover story was called The Debt Bomb. At the time, I remember thinking what an interesting imagery that conveyed for, although I knew that governments, and other institutions were heavily debt laden, the picture of having it "explode" really hit home. I immediately sat down and read the piece.

In the story, the debt levels had surged, and many economists were somewhat alarmed. In going back and Googling the original article, I chuckled when I realized the debt bomb they were afraid of then, had grown to $706 Billion -- which by today's inflationary overspending seems almost a trifle. In short, what we might also call the Debt Balloon has been blown up to over $14 Trillion in America alone, and like all balloons do when you overinflate them, they ultimately explode with a rather large bang.

Although the masses of America are largely concerned with jobs, because this is where the present economic malady has brought things home, most of the people really have no idea as to where the real economic problems lie -- nor are they aware that the so called "recession" we're in now, will shortly look like the good old days.

In a written essay of this nature, it's a bit pointless to go into the details of the how and why most of the American states and European states are already insolvent, and are pushing their economic burdens downward to the counties, townships, and cities. The cities, of course, are passing on everything they can to the citizens, or those "rich" landowners, or employers -- never once realizing they're all strangling the prime conduit of economic vitality in the process.

The young, "entitled" are already massing in the streets, in the so called Occupy Wall Street movement -- another bit of chicanery which has even seduced a few Patriot figures who should know better. It's obvious the banks and Wall Street are filled with criminals, but the problem is even higher up than 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue -- we learned that all the way back in the Old Testament:

"We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies" (Jeremiah 51:9)

The so called Debt Bomb is but a part of the prophetic phenomena called the Deadly Wound, and America is now in the crosshairs of the LORD of glory. There is no simple answer, for the path of least resistance which so many seek, is actually part of how we arrived in the terrible place which now binds us as a people, nation, and world.

And it's not like we haven't been warned.

In fact, although the null and void we call citizens are all getting agitated, with some even marching in the streets presaging an "American Spring" (note how well things are going now with the "Arab Spring"), the fact is, we've already fallen, and the winter of our discontent is dead ahead. The cycle of judgment now descending upon America was poignantly described long ago, when it occurred in the ancient land of Israel, so I'll close with the following.

"...he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Whose fan [an instrument of separating the wheat from the waste] is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge [sweep away] his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner [barn]; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire" (Matthew 3:12)

-- James Lloyd

The "Debt Bomb," which will inevitably blast the entire world financial order into chaos, is part of the prophecy cycle known as The Deadly Wound, and a detailed examination of how this is now occurring in America, is addressed in the brief online video at the link entitled AMERICAN BABYLON
